CPR, or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, is a technique that involves a combination of mouth-to-mouth breathing and compressing victims’ chests in order to supply oxygen to the brain and get victims to breathe on their own. CPR shields offer a barrier between the rescuer and the person in need of first aid. CPR shields cover the mouth and nose area while still allowing the rescuer to perform first aid breathing techniques.
